Amy & Andrew - Worton Hall, Oxfordshire
I had the pleasure of meeting Amy and Andrew through a lovely charity called Beagle Welfare. Amy came to do our home check to make sure we were suitable to adopt a beagle, luckily we were approved and adopted our fur-baby Toby shortly after. Just under a year later Amy and Andrew asked me to photograph their wedding, I was so excited!
Amy and Andrews day started at Worton Hall's beautiful farm house where Amy, her mermaids - hint at the theme - and Amy's mum were getting ready. Amy arrived at the beautiful Saint Mary the Virgin Church in Ewelme in a white London Taxi. Fun fact - the 2012 Hugh Jackman film, Les Miserable, was filmed at this church too!
We walked into the church whilst it was sunny with a few clouds and we walked out to snow. Who would have thought it in May? Luckily it didn't last long and by the time we got to Worton hall it had stopped.
The guests enjoyed finding their seats by searching the treasure chest (do you know the theme yet?) for their gold coin telling them where they will be seated. The lovely centre pieces were under the sea themed, yes that's the fab theme, with shells, pearls and even edible sand (broken biscuits) too. Amy has a flare for D.I.Y ideas and they all came together to make the room look fab.
The bride and groom, along with their guests enjoyed drinks, speeches and pizza before Amy and Andrew took to the dance floor for their wonderful first dance, which was beautifully sung by Abi Farrell (www.facebook.com/abifarrellmusic). Amy and Andrew were joined on the dance floor by their guest and continued to enjoy the evening celebrations.
